GW2 Exotic Weapon

To my knowledge exotic weapons really only provide two functions. one, to tide you over till you get your legendary and two, as an ingredient to that recipe for the mystic forge for the legendary weapon that you want. I listed it here first because its the first thing I will be going for.

I see three ways to get your first exotic weapon:

Drops
Black Lion Trading Company (Auction House)
Crafting
